For those who want to speak proper like

The lovely Katie emailed me the following link:
http://www.speaknorniron.8m.net/index.htm
It seriously brightened my day and had me giggling away in the corner of the computer room. I think you'll all appreciate it!
I also think this shows that Katie is slowly coming round to the ways of the Northern Irish - in no time she'll be facing facts and admitting that CS Lewis is from Ireland, and in particular from Belfast!

Of course studying in Newcastle doesn't myck y'tark propa lyk, but being an honourary Weeble is pretty close to being a Geordie!

God bless,
Chris

(i got a bit confused posting this so if u get it twice i'm sorry!)
ha ha ha
yes i am loving the northern irish and am improving greatly - you'll be impressed! i'm not letting you have CS Lewis!!!!
I've been reading up on him (on internet) and he spent about 50 of his 61 years in england only lived in NI when he was little and went to school there for a bit.
if that doesn't convince you i take comfort in the fact that most people think he's english so we get the credit anyway!!!
hope you're having fun!
we miss you!!!!!

Re CS Lewis, isn't the Jesuit maxim 'Give me the child until he is seven, and I will show you the man'?

This would argue that NI did all the hard work but Oxford got the credit.

Of course, my maxim is 'Give me a child at seven and I'll give you the little beast right back!' That's what teaching Young Church does for you!

God bless,
Chris

Amen Chris! To both the CSLewis and the Young Church bits! Katie I think you'll find that just because "most people think he's english" does not make it so. Most people thought the earth was flat.....
